Near record high temperatues are expected again this afternoon with very low humidity and critically dry fuels. Southwest winds gusting up to 35 mph are anticipated ahead of a cold front that will move into the region this afternoon. Behind the frontal passage, a wind shift out of the north with gusts of 35 to locally 45 mph into this evening are forecast. These conditions will create near critical grassland fire spread rates. The area of greatest concern remains across northeast Oklahoma, where locally critical spread rates could develop. Conditions behind the cold front will be very slow to improve despite cooler temperatures. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
