THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...Mainly Along and South of Interstate 40. ONSET...Ongoing Through Mid Evening. DISCUSSION... Ongoing isolated showers and thunderstorms will remain forecast into mid evening for mainly locations along and south of Interstate 40 as an upper level disturbance sags southward through the region. This activity should begin to weaken after sunset with the loss of daytime heating. Severe weather is not expected. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...No Hazards. MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... A small chance of rain showers returns Sunday over mainly western Arkansas, with a chance of showers and storms for western Arkansas Monday as area of low pressure lifts northward out of Louisiana. Low pressure system exits Monday night and mostly dry weather is forecast through the middle of next week.
