HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOOD. RISK...Limited. AREA...Southeast Oklahoma. ONSET...Ongoing and Again Late Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Elevated. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...Ongoing and Again Late Tonight. DISCUSSION... Scattered showers with a chance of thunderstorms will remain forecast through this afternoon across much of eastern Oklahoma into west central Arkansas with a weak elevated boundary over the region. The greater thunderstorm potential exists over southeast Oklahoma where additional showers and storms developing in south central Oklahoma could move into the region. Ample amounts of moisture over the region will continue to create a locally heavy rain threat with a flash flood potential into the early evening hours. Thunderstorm coverage should decrease after sunset. Additional shower and storm chances return late tonight into Friday morning for southeast Oklahoma as a disturbance lifts east northeast across Texas. A locally heavy rain threat will exist with this additional precipitation into Friday morning. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT...
