For the southwest Virginia, snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches for the valley, and up to 3 inches across the mountains. See the winter weather advisory for more details. For the northern Plateau and northeast Tennessee, the snow bands may quickly produce 1/2 to 1 inch of snow mainly areas over grassy and elevated surfaces. Travel impacts will be possible through early morning especially elevated surface such as bridges and overpasses.
