FLUS43 KICT 220005 HWOICT Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Wichita KS 705 PM CDT Sat Mar 21 2026 KSZ032-033-047>053-067>072-082-083-091>096-098>100-230015- Russell-Lincoln-Barton-Ellsworth-Saline-Rice-McPherson-Marion-Chase- Reno-Harvey-Butler-Greenwood-Woodson-Allen-Kingman-Sedgwick-Harper- Sumner-Cowley-Elk-Wilson-Neosho-Chautauqua-Montgomery-Labette- 705 PM CDT Sat Mar 21 2026 This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas, South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Tonight Very high to extreme grassland fire danger is expected to linger into the evening from the Flint Hills on west, where a Red Flag Warning remains in effect. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday Extreme grassland fire danger is expected to develop across much of the area on Sunday as a cold front arrives, shifting winds to the north. A red flag warning is now in effect for all of the area on Sunday. Gusty northerly winds of 25 to 35 may gust to around 45 mph at times in the wake of a cold front, and a wind advisory is in effect on Sunday for much of the area. Very high fire danger will return towards the middle of next week for much of the area, as we continue to see above average temperatures and very dry conditions persisting. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
