Through 8 AM, a Frost Advisory remains in effect for mainly the western half of our forecast area. Please refer to the Advisory statement for more details Near-critical fire weather conditions are likely this afternoon across the area, due to the combination of relative humidity falling to as low as 15 to 25 percent, and winds gusting at least 20 MPH. A few thunderstorms are possible this evening mainly southwest of a line from Lexington to Red Cloud Nebraska, to Beloit Kansas. Localized gusty winds are possible, but severe weather is unlikely. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday. Friday afternoon, another round of near-critical fire weather conditions is possible across much of our area. Saturday afternoon and evening, at least spotty thunderstorm activity is likely across parts of our forecast area.
