Through 8 AM Thursday, a Frost Advisory remains in effect for mainly the western half of our forecast area. Please refer to the Advisory statement for more details. Thursday afternoon, near-critical fire weather conditions are likely across portions of our area, due to the combination of relative humidity falling to as low as 15 to 25 percent, and winds gusting at least 20 MPH. Thursday evening, a few thunderstorms will be possible mainly southwest of a line from Lexington to Red Cloud Nebraska, to Beloit Kansas. Localized gusty winds are possible, but severe weather is unlikely. Friday afternoon, another round of near-critical fire weather conditions is possible across much of our area. Saturday afternoon and evening, at least spotty thunderstorm activity is likely across parts of our forecast area. Although there is still some uncertainty regarding potential storm strength, it currently appears that a few could be strong to perhaps marginally-severe, especially along and south of the Nebraska-Kansas border. Looking into next week, near-critical fire weather conditions could again become a concern Monday and Tuesday. && More information may be obtained at the following web page: https://www.weather.gov/hastings $$ Pfannkuch
