However, in areas that have seen some sunshine, afternoon temperatures have topped out in the 60s. For tonight, a cold front will pass through Mid-America leading to a wide range in temperatures, from the mid 30s across the High Plains to the low 50s across eastern Kansas and western Missouri. This cold front will also bring rain chances late tonight into Tuesday morning across much of the region. Rain chances should come to an end from west to east Tuesday morning into early Tuesday afternoon, with highs generally in the 50s across the central plains. Gusty northwest winds are also forecast, especially during the afternoon and evening hours. For Tuesday night, windy conditions should continue with lows ranging from the mid 20s across the High Plains to the low 40s across eastern Kansas and western Missouri. $$
