Southerly winds remained breezy at around 10 miles per hour under mostly clear skies. Today, a cold front will sweep across the state this morning and into early afternoon. Much cooler temperatures are expected behind the front with afternoon highs only reaching into the middle 60s for western and central Kansas. Ahead of the front, in southeastern Kansas, high will still manage to reach into the 80s. Strong northerly winds are expected behind the frontal boundary with winds gusting between 40 to 50 miles per hour at times. Tonight, near normal, though much more chilly, temperatures are expected with lows falling into the upper 30s and lower 40s. Winds will remain breezy out of the northeast with clouds building in from the west. $$
