Afternoon high temperatures ranged from the 20s and 30s across Nebraska to the 40s and 50s across the majority of Kansas and northern Oklahoma. Low temperatures tonight will range from the single digits and teens across Nebraska to the 20s and 30s across Kansas and Oklahoma. Light winds will gradually veer to the south throughout the overnight hours as cloudy skies linger over Nebraska and portions of north and central Kansas. Light snow will be possible over far north and east Nebraska, but a majority of the region will stay dry. A stark contrast in temperatures is anticipated from north to south across the Central Plains to kick off the weekend, with highs across Nebraska forecast in the teens and 20s and values in the 50s and 60s expected across Oklahoma. North winds will return to the area behind another cold front, and skies will remain mostly cloudy across Nebraska and northern Kansas. $$
