Sunny skies have prevailed across the region this afternoon.

Temperatures have warmed into the middle to upper 70s across

central and north-central WI. A developing lake breeze this

afternoon has held temperatures along the lakeshore in the upper 

50s to low 60s.



This evening a cold front will sweep across the region bringing a

20 to 30 percent chance for rain showers, however, with very dry

air in place rain may not reach the ground in some locations.

Clear skies will return tonight behind the cold front with

temperatures falling into the low 40s across the Northwoods to

around 50 degrees in east-central WI.



Low relative humidity will continue through the weekend into

early next week inland from Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green

Bay. Near critical fire weather conditions are likely to occur 

Sunday and Monday as southerly winds increase. Check with the 

Wisconsin DNR or your local county before attempting any outdoor 

burning.
