Mainly dry conditions and a mostly clear to partly cloudy sky 

continue across the northern Plains this evening, with lows

dipping into the 40s across northern Minnesota to the 50s in

eastern Montana. Well above average temperatures and mainly dry 

conditions are expected this weekend into early next week, with 

widespread highs in the 80s on Saturday and 90s on Sunday. Windy 

conditions are also anticipated across the Dakotas and Minnesota 

this weekend, especially on Sunday. The next opportunity for 

showers and thunderstorms arrives in the western half of the 

region late Sunday, persisting into the work week.
