Scattered showers linger over southeastern North Dakota and

northern Minnesota this morning. More showers will be possible

over southwestern South Dakota and southern Minnesota through the

afternoon. Otherwise, mainly dry conditions and a mostly clear to

partly cloudy sky are expected over the northern Plains today.

High temperatures this afternoon are forecast from the mid to

upper 70s north to the upper 80s south.  



Well above average temperatures and mainly dry conditions are 

expected this weekend into early next week, with widespread highs 

in the 80s on Saturday and 90s on Sunday. Windy conditions are 

also anticipated across the Dakotas and Minnesota this weekend, 

especially on Sunday. The next opportunity for showers and 

thunderstorms arrives in the western half of the region late 

Sunday, persisting into the work week.
