High pressure will remain anchored over central Quebec through midweek with low pressure passing to the south of the area tonight into Tuesday. Rain chances with this system will stay south of Washington DC and down into central Virginia. More widespread rainfall looks to occur Wednesday and Thursday as low pressure ejects out of the Tennessee River Valley into the Mid-Atlantic. High pressure will build to the south of the area Friday and Saturday with another low pressure system set to approach from the Great Lakes Sunday into early next week. $$
