Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, with the most numerous storms over the eastern half of the state. A few of these storms will make gusty winds and hail, again mainly over the east. Still, most of the day will be dry and mostly sunny for most Pennsylvanians. High temperatures will once again range from the upper 70s in the northern mountains to the upper 80s in the southeastern piedmont. Skies will clear tonight, with low temperatures well down into the 50s over the northern half of the Commonwealth, and lower 60s in the south. A nice, sunny day is in store for the 4th of July, with low humidity levels. Highs will be mainly in the upper 70s in the higher elevations to mid 80s in the valleys of the south. Dry weather will prevail all weekend with temperatures getting a little warmer each day, and into the 90s for some on Monday. $$
